What the night jeep safari in Side actually contains
Everywhere else on this site the evening tour turns up as an aside — one paragraph inside a page about couples, or hotel pickup, or which month to travel in. This page is about nothing else, because it is a separate product from the daytime tour and the differences are the kind that decide whether you should book it at all.

Collection is in the late afternoon and the exact time at your hotel is confirmed after you book. We do not print a clock time here for the same reason we print none anywhere else on the site: it genuinely differs from one hotel gate to the next, and a wrong number is worse than no number.
From there the evening runs about five hours from door to door. That is a little over half the length of the full-day mountain tour, and it is the practical argument for the whole thing — an excursion that costs you an evening rather than a whole day of a short holiday. Twelve and over: the one jeep day a family with small children cannot use
The evening is designed for guests aged twelve and over. That is not a gentle suggestion about what younger children might enjoy; it is what the tour is built around, and for anyone travelling with a young family it is the most important line on this page.
It matters because every other jeep day we sell runs the other way. The full-day Taurus tour takes children from four, infants under four travel free, and the whole middle of it — the swim stop, the pancakes at the village, the water fights between the jeeps — is aimed squarely at them. If your children are under twelve, that is your day. The evening is one to keep for a holiday you take without them.
A shorter season than the daytime tour: early June to mid-November
The night safari runs from early June to mid-November. Outside that window it does not run, and a warm week in April does not change it: the evening depends on the boat and the mild night as much as on the jeeps.
So if you are booking for the shoulder season and this is the excursion you had in mind, check your dates before you build an evening around it. The daytime mountain safari is the one that keeps going after the evening tour stops for the winter, and it is a genuinely different day rather than a consolation.
You are a passenger from the first minute to the last
Guests are not permitted to drive the jeeps. On the daytime tour that is a rule people occasionally ask about; on an evening that includes dinner on board and drinks bought there it is worth stating outright, because this is exactly the tour where somebody might assume otherwise.
A professional driver takes every vehicle, in both directions, all evening. If getting behind the wheel yourself is the point of the excursion for you, this is not the one — that is a quad or a buggy day, and a different tour entirely.
Mobility: the warning we will not bury at the bottom
The night safari is not suitable for people with mobility impairments. There is climbing in and out of an open jeep, moving between vehicle and boat, and a swim stop, and there is no version of the evening that removes those steps.

The line worth remembering is that dinner is included and drinks are not. Nobody has to go looking for somewhere to eat at the end of the evening, but anything you drink is yours to settle, so keep something in your pocket for that alongside anything you might want from the tour team's camera.
